Marina and the Diamonds.

It;s insane how famous Marina has become in the last year... her music is original, passionate and crazy, sounding abit like Florence and the Machine... This brown beauty is overtaking the Uk and the rest of the world with her english accent and crazy low voice... The most insane part is that she used to be in my school for a few years, and always said how she would be a singer and overtake the world :) and she clearly managed to do it... keep up the good work girl!

In Garden state Natalie POrtman's character listens to 'the shins' and i decided to check them out and they are actually a really nice band... They are an american indie rock band, from Albuquerque who have an interesting sound,  from folk, country mixture with rock...  They have original rhythms which smoothly flow in the background of James Russels' soft voice. I really like:
